After 15 years working in major hospitals across the Gold Coast and Brisbane, I saw the same heartbreaking pattern over and over again — women feeling scared, rushed, unheard, and left to figure things out on their own
I met mothers who had procedures done without consent. Mothers who felt they had no voice.
Mothers who were sent home with only two short postpartum visits, trying to cope alone.
And families carrying trauma from a birth that should have been one of the most powerful moments of their lives.
It broke me.
And it changed me.
I wanted to create something different — a place where every woman is supported, celebrated, and cared for with real time, real attention, and real love.
A place where her story matters.
Her choices matter.
Her birth experience matters.
So I built Avenir Life Midwifery.
Today, with 300+ births supported, 50,000+ hours of care, and deep clinical experience across leading hospitals, We support women through a style of premium, personalised midwifery care that honours every milestone of their journey.
